{"id":6668,"date":"2018-11-15T06:00:44","date_gmt":"2018-11-15T12:00:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.investorlawyers.com\/?p=6668"},"modified":"2018-11-15T06:00:44","modified_gmt":"2018-11-15T12:00:44","slug":"us-government-sues-ubs-for-residential-mortgage-backed-securities-fraud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.investorlawyers.com\/blog\/us-government-sues-ubs-for-residential-mortgage-backed-securities-fraud\/","title":{"rendered":"US Government Sues UBS for Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities Fraud"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\tThe US government has filed a civil lawsuit against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investorlawyers.com\/investor-claims\/broker-misconduct\/ubs-painewebber\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UBS AG<\/a> and a number of its UBS-based affiliates accusing them of defrauding investors who purchased <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investorlawyers.com\/investor-claims\/investments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) <\/a>from the firm in the two years prior to the 2008 economic crisis.
