Did Ex-International Assets Advisory Stockbroker Sean Casterline Sell You Tuscan Gardens Growth and Income Fund Securities?

Our Skilled Broker Fraud Attorneys Are Investigating Investor Losses in This Reg D Offering

Shepherd Smith Edwards and Kantas ( is continuing to speak to former customers of former Florida financial advisor Sean Casterline who suffered losses in the Tuscan Gardens Growth and Income Fund. Casterline, was most recently a Delta Securities broker, and before that he was registered with International Assets Advisory. He worked in the industry for 19 years but was suspended by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) for 18 months in December 2021 for allegedly selling away what is believed to be about $1.5M of membership units in this Fund to customers. Casterline purportedly did this without obtaining his broker dealer’s written approval.

Not only that, but the ex-Florida financial advisor reportedly was the Managing Director of Private Equity for the Fund, which was raising money to develop and run senior living facilities—a potential conflict of interest. Meanwhile, his sale of Tuscan Gardens Growth and Income Fund to investors resulted in him receiving over $116K in commissions.

Reg D Private Placement Offerings Are High-Risk Investments

Tuscan Gardens Growth and Income Fund reportedly submitted a Form D to raise investor funds in 2018 in a purported $25M offering. Regulation D private placement offerings tend to be high-risk, illiquid investments, and they are generally unsuitable for most retail investors, conservative retirees, and inexperienced investors. In fact, they should only be recommended to accredited investors that meet certain income criteria and are experienced in investing. In some cases, they may even be unsuitable for wealthy, sophisticated investors.

Already, at least one investor has filed a broker fraud lawsuit seeking $175K in damages. The claimant accused then Delta Security’s financial advisor Casterline of misappropriating their money.
