Broker Negligence Attorneys

iCapital VRF Investors in Texas May Be Adversely Impacted After MSRP Recovery/LifeWallet Losses. Our Houston Broker Negligence Attorneys Are Investigating Rockefeller Financial, Ex-Broker Samuel Frankfort, and Others That May Have Sold This Investment

Shepherd Smith Edwards and Kantas Broker Negligence Attorneys (investorlawyers.com) is investigating claims of losses involving iCapital VRF that may have impacted Texas investors, in particular those in the Houston area. Our Houston broker misconduct law firm is looking at Rockefeller Financial, including former financial advisor Samuel David Frankfort, and any other brokers that may have sold this investment to customers.

Rockefeller Financial is a subsidiary of Rockefeller Capital Management, which partnered with iCapital to give Rockefeller clients access to certain kinds of investment opportunities. Many of Rockefeller Financial’s customers are wealthy investors.

What is iCapital VRF and Why Should Texas Investors Be Worried?

This is a feeder fund managed by iCapital Advisors, LLC. iCapital VRF invests in alternative investments, including private equity funds and hedge funds to which some, including smaller investors, might not be able to otherwise get involved in. iCapital VRF was invested in Virage Capital Management LP, which was heavily invested in MSP Recovery  (formerly D/B/A LifeWallet).

MSP Recovery’s (MSPR) stock has seen a serious decline. This may now be impacting not only those who directly invested in the healthcare recovery and analytics company, but also those who were indirect investors, including iCapital VRF investors.

iCapital VRF appears to have been marketed and sold to Houston investors and other Texas investors. Shepherd Smith Edwards and Kantas Broker Negligence Attorneys are investigating whether brokers conducted the proper due diligence into this feeder fund and its many alternative investments to ensure that customers’ money would be safe. We are also trying to determine if financial advisors fully apprised clients of the risks involved.

We can’t tell you how many times misrepresentations and omissions have compelled an investor to get involved in a fund or security because they didn’t have all the information they needed to make the kind of decision that would be right for them.

How Can Our Houston Broker Negligence Attorneys  Help With Your iCapital VRF LP Losses?

We know how to determine what caused an investor’s losses and whether broker negligence or fraud played a role. This is not the kind of legal case that you want to make without trusted securities lawyers advocating for you.

As a matter of fact, it is not recommended that you try to resolve any investment loss claims directly with your financial advisor, as this could hurt any lawsuit you might have against them in the long run.

Our Texas securities law firm has been representing investors throughout this great state for decades. We have helped thousands of investors to collectively recoup many millions of dollars in arbitration, mediation, and litigation.
